Serial #9 - Nov 2 2000, Daus Studenberg - Gainsville, Florida

This is the current photo of my Teres #9 turntable project. The tonearm is an OL-RB250 (stock wire for now) with an AT-OC9ml cartridge and VTA adjuster. The arm is mounted on a machined block of 1.5" thick aluminum. The subchassis was milled from a 2" thick block of clear acrylic. The motor pod uses two blue LEDs mounted on the plate and mounts to a PVC tube that is filled with lead shot and resin. The two blue LEDS with the aluminum motor plate give that "Krell" look. The feet are machined from stainless steel and use adjustable sorbothane shock absorbers. I have been satisfied with the magnetic tape drive, but plan to move to a more permanent polyurethane or kapton drive belt. I also use a DB systems moving coil preamp to drive my heavily modified Van Alstine ST-70 directly with a passive preamp. Overall, I am very impressed with the sound from this turntable. This turntable exceeded my expectations for sound reproduction, but it was mainly the people and the support of those involved that have contributed to my enjoyment of participating in this project. Thanks Guys!
