The design consists of the early Teres-list participants-designed groupo:
3-layer frosted clear acrylic platter/ bearing assembly/sub-chasis/resin &
lead-shot & brass motor-controller pod, vinyl Terestrobe, base-mounted LEDs
and switches, with a Maxon motor, narrow pulley and fishing-line. The Teres
base sides, base floor, 2-piece plinth and knob-style plinth handles are all
.5 inch, triple-polished, solid-black Corian, with extra layer for some
interior sides; one-quarter inch cast-acrylic, ultra-pale-green tinted
turntable cover; OriginLive modified, Rega 250 tone arm. I use a Sumiko Blue
Point Special cartridge (pix show an older Shure). The motor pod is covered
by the plinth and rests on the Teres stand surface through a cut-out in the
floor of the base. This 102-pound design is supported by McMaster-Carr
sorbothane isolation feet (tip-toe/litter box alternative pending).
