The base design is MDF with birch veneer pocketed for lead shot. The sides have texture paint from NAPA auto parts, it is Duplicolor truck bed coating. The top edges are beveled and the birch has a natural stain and polyurethane satin clear coat. With almost 25 lbs of lead shot in the base and armboard this thing is really heavy, I'd guess 45 to 50 lbs. Sound is fantastic, wide open and laid back with the Dynavector 10x4. -- Randy
