Base Design Information
For those that are considering building their own base
a sample base design and bearing mounting information is provided here.
The Teres bearing mounts via a 1.125" diameter threaded mounting stub
(see drawing). The mounting stub is 2.5" long and 1.25" of the stub is
threaded. This requires that the mounting base be 1.25 to 2.25" thick.
The stub is fixed in place via a mounting nut that is 0.3" high and
1.725" in diameter. When the platter is seated onto the bearing the
bottom of the platter will be roughly 0.125" above the base.
